Diamond Heart Ring
One of the most popular engagement rings is the diamond heart ring. Most of these rings take three small diamonds and place them together to form a heart. Set in a platinum or white gold ring, the diamonds sparkle in the light and show just how much your fiancé loves you. What’s really nice about a diamond heart ring is that, after the wedding, you can wear it as a right hand ring without it looking too awkward.
If you want to make your diamond heart ring a little more unique, you can change up the band on it. Some have a split band. That is, one part of the actual ring is attached to the top of the right hand diamond setting while the other connects with the lower left side of the larger central diamond. This creates an interesting visual look that goes very well with the heart shape and gives your engagement ring a slightly non-traditional look.
Another type of engagement ring that is sometimes called a diamond heart ring doesn’t use diamonds to create the heart. Instead, this type of diamond heart ring features a standard band that goes through a metal heart (the heart resembles a buckle on a belt). All around the band are small diamonds.
This version of the diamond heart ring isn’t as flashy or showy as the other one, making it a better choice for women looking for something a bit more understated but still attractive. To add a bit of color to it, you can get the metal heart in silver or white gold and the band in gold, creating a two colored ring that draws a little more attention to itself.
There are several other diamond heart ring designs, including one with a metal heart outlined in diamonds and a more traditional diamond heart set in a standard band. But no matter which one you go with, the heart design makes for a very nice engagement ring that will accent your hand while stating to the world that you’re preparing for marriage.
