Engagement Rings without the Solitary Diamond

The traditional engagement ring features a single solitary diamond or a small cluster of diamonds arranged in a heart or in a row. However, today, many women are looking for a non-traditional engagement band that looks a little different or can be worn as a right hand ring after the wedding. The first is to use a different stone. While a sparkling diamond does attract attention and looks very nice, it can also be more expensive than other stones. Finally, another way of varying the look of your engagement ring is to go with different cuts and shapes of gemstones. A diamond, for example, can be cut into an opal or other shape to give it a very different look. Again, these rings make nice right hand rings after the wedding while making very different engagement rings before the ceremony.
